Overview of Training:
This advanced, one day course is geared to the EVM analyst who has completed basic wInsight training. The class is taught as a hands-on, computer based course so that the student may learn how to build their own custom reports for display in wInsight. At the conclusion of this training, students will be able to:
  • Understand the basics of HTM language, including data tags, dynamic data, formatting, and tables 
  • Understand the basics of using JavaScript for functions 
  • Build custom reports for wInsight, including single element, banded, and query reports 
  • Customize existing reports and input templates
  • Copy reports to other applications 
  • Alphabetize the reports list
  • Add a field directly to the database 
  • Complete a final case to build a custom report that incorporates data over time, includes calculations, and includes functions
Prerequisites: Students must have completed formal wInsight training or have a minimum of two years of experience with the tool. No prior experience with HTML or JavaScript is required. 
Student Materials: A student manual is provided to each student, as well as a CD with support files, including the wscustom.xml file, the instructor’s custom reports, custom report templates, and other support files.
Time: Training will be scheduled at your convenience.
